“ Letting go” actually it means, as a simile, like you are carrying a heavy rock. You will feel heavy and tired when you do that,
but at the same time, you do not know what else to do, so you keep on carrying it. When somebody tell you to throw it away. You stop and think.
“What? If I throw the rock away, I will have nothing left. I have to keep holding on, never throwing it away.”
Even though someone will explain to you “ Please throw that rock away, it is for your own good.” You would still, keep holding on to it because you are so afraid that you will have nothing left. Until you are extremely weary, and you have to let it go, not because you want to, but because you are not capable to carry it anymore.
The moment when you drop the rock down, will be like the epiphany moment. You will finally realise about the true meaning of the word “ letting go.” You will know it by yourself by feeling so much better and at ease. You will realise how heavy that rock, you were carrying was, and will ask yourself, why you did not let it go sooner.
