The 15th day of TRUE LITTLE MONK, A Wisdom Training Programme for Novices.

In the week of "LOVE" weekly concept.

In early morning, the 12 international novices did the morning chant. At dawn, Phra Ajahn and the novices went for alms from the people nearby. Today, Uncle Andrew Biggs also joined the line to offer food to 12 novices.

After the alms round, the novices washed and wiped the Monastic Mentors’ feet .

Before having meal, the Monastic Mentors let the novices memorise the 10 Precepts by writing them down on paper. Some novices reviewed the 10 precepts by reciting them with the Monastic Mentors because they did not want to write them down.

The Monastic Mentors asked the novices to do the sitting meditation to be mindful and calm before getting a proper amount of food for themselves. Those who appeared calm and mindful would get the food first.

After the meal, the novices would be learning about “Love”. In the 3rd week, they would learn to value what they get from others, and to return that kindness with love and compassion.

While the novices were washing their utensils this morning, The Monastic Mentors asked them to keep quiet regarding the forest dwelling way. The little novices tried to be quiet as instructed.

Before the Dhamma practice session, the Monastic Mentors asked the novices to recall Ajahn Chah’s teaching. the Monastic Mentors informed the novices about the topic for today’s lesson which was true friends.

Tongkarn began the lesson by telling the novices about the origin of organic watercolor paints. She introduced many natural materials that she would use to make organic watercolor paints.the novices tried to make their own paints. Tongkarn asked each novice to describe the love that they expressed through their paintings. At the end of the class, the monks and the novices gave blessings to the instructor.

During the Dhamma story session, the Monastic Mentors continued his story of the Buddha’s life from yesterday. This was the story of the first couple of laymen who came to see the Buddha after he became enlightened.
After that, novices had conversations with Uncle Andrew Biggs, the mentor. Andrew told the novices that there was a letter from Singapore that expressed gratitude and gave the novices encouragement in many aspects.
